 Reconnect - a program of welcome for inactive Catholics has been commissioned by the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference and written by the National Office for Evangelisation. It is a parish-based, small-group program specifically designed to provide a supportive and welcoming environment into which the many Catholics who are not active in the life of the Church may be invited to share their stories of faith, and in so doing, consider returning to regular worship. Reconnect is conducted over six two-hour sessions and is designed to be facilitated by active parishioners in collaboration with the parish priest.
Reconnect is available nationally for purchase. Reconnect is a practical, easy to use, parish resource for enriching parish life. Each parish is encouraged to buy a Reconnect Parish Starter pack to develop this vital ministry. The Reconnect Parish Starter Pack is made up of two Program Leader’s Manuals, six Participant’s Journals and a CD which contains a talk by Fr William McKee CSsR on the Ministry to Inactive Catholics, an MP3 recording of the same talk and a PowerPoint presentation for one of the sessions. Reconnect is a practical, easy to use, parish resource for enriching parish life.
